What kind of projects are we looking for?

We are looking for high-impact initiatives that deliver wide-reaching, long-term benefits across our entire community.

Rather than short-term or single-group upgrades, we want to back projects that leave a lasting legacy and touch as many local lives as possible.

Your project might:

  • Build or revitalise shared infrastructure that the entire public can access and enjoy.

  • Deliver major health and wellbeing programs addressing widespread community needs.

  • Break down barriers to access and inclusion across multiple demographics and age groups.

  • Create enduring community hubs or networks that foster connection for years to come.

  • Bring our whole region together through transformative, large-scale initiatives.

💡What makes a strong application?

The strongest submissions will clearly demonstrate broad public reach, measurable community impact, and a sustainable, lasting benefit well into the future.

Jar Wars Project Criteria

Before applying, please review the Jar Wars Project Criteria to understand how applications will be assessed.

Projects will be reviewed across four key areas: community impact, project viability, innovation, and legacy & sustainability.

Strong applications should clearly explain the community need, who will benefit, how the project will be delivered, what makes the idea different, and how the benefits will continue beyond the initial funding.
